About me
I'm Sade Rivers, Co-Founder of Rooted in Power Collective Consultancy. As a Black woman and mother, my journey began when I saw a gap in my own children's charter school that couldn't be ignored, so instead of waiting for someone else to create change, I created the role I believed our students deserved. That role evolved into serving as the Director of Culture and Belonging at a place-based charter school, where I learned the power of storytelling, relationships, and courageous conversations to transform school communities. Today, alongside my Co-Founder Angelina Muñoz, I continue that work by partnering with schools to intentionally design Belonging Infrastructure™ so no student has to leave parts of themselves at the door in order to belong
